RIYADH: The Ministry of Tourism continues to enforce strict penalties against tourism facilities violating the Tourism Law and its executive regulations. These penalties include fines of up to SR1 million, closure, or both for establishments operating without a valid license.
A comprehensive survey of all closed tourism facilities was recently conducted to ensure compliance with closure orders. The ministry, in coordination with regional authorities and security agencies, conducts periodic follow-ups to verify adherence.
Tourism hospitality facilities are urged to comply with the Tourism Law and obtain proper licensing. The ministry stressed that regulations are in place to enhance service quality, ensure visitor safety, and strengthen the tourism sector’s appeal to investors and tourists.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing penalties against violators while supporting private sector partners who adhere to the law. Regulations, licensing procedures, and support services are available on the ministry’s official website and the Unified Tourism Center.
